A Nowra primary school has reopened after being forced to close over the weekend, due to members of their school community testing positive for COVID-19.

Nowra East Public School was listed as "non-operational" on the NSW Department of Education website on Saturday, November 6.
The school announced it reopened Monday morning and that it had been "thoroughly cleaned" with COVID contacts notified.
"The students and staff identified as contacts have been notified and asked to self-isolate for the required period," said Principal Jude Hayman in a statement.
"The school has been thoroughly cleaned and our school will be operational for the onsite attendance of staff and students from Monday 8th November 2021.

"The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to."
It is the second time the school has closed due to COVID in the last two weeks, with the school closing on Friday, October 29 and reopening on Monday, November 1.
The news comes after low numbers were recorded across the Shoalhaven last week, with a total of six cases recorded.
On Sunday, there were no new cases recorded in the Shoalhaven and the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District only recorded one new COVID case in Wollongong.
On Saturday, the Shoalhaven recorded one new case.
