Aside from yesterday, the last time the Shoalhaven recorded no new cases during the Delta variant outbreak was on September 7.
In the 24 hours to 8pm last night, there were five fresh COVID-19 cases recorded in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, just two extra cases than yesterday.
The majority are in Wollongong which saw four residents test positive to the virus overnight and the remaining case was recorded in Kiama.
The source of infection for only one of these cases is under investigation, with the rest linked to known cases.

However, a fifth person linked to the outbreak at the Tarrawanna aged care facility in the Illawarra has died.
NSW Health confirmed he was a man in his 70s and had received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The ISLHD "extends their sincere condolences to his loved ones".
Shoalhaven vaccination rates are high, with over 95 per cent of the LGA's population aged over 16 years fully vaccinated, and 90.9 per cent have received a first dose.
As for state numbers, NSW has recorded 173 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm.
Across the state 93.6 per cent of the population aged over 16 years have been vaccinated with their first dose, while 87.8 per cent are fully vaccinated.
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet announced a raft of changes to the state's reopening "road map" on Tuesday, which will see a fast-track of freedoms for the fully vaccinated.
This will include no limits on household visitors and increasing the density limit on hospitality venues from four square metres to two square metres from Monday, November 8.
Under the changes, restrictions for unvaccinated residents that were due to lift on December 1 have now been pushed back to December 15 or when the state hits 95 per cent vaccination.
Mr Perrottet said he hoped moving the date of freedom back to December 15 for unvaccinated residents gives people an incentive to get the jab.
