The much-needed school was announced in 2019 with the site on Holloway Road in Nowra chosen as "the most suitable option" for the booming suburbs of South Nowra and Worrigee.
The school's access point will be on Holloway Road, near the Cullunghutti Aboriginal Child And Family Centre and PCYC Shoalhaven.
No further details other than the location have been announced and the next step is for the school's masterplan to be developed, which is expected to happen quickly.
The planning will be done in consultation with architects, traffic and transport planners, Shoalhaven City Council and Aboriginal community groups.
South Coast MP Shelley Hancock, who advocated for a school to be brought to the area, was thrilled to see progress on the project.
"This is an exciting project for the Nowra community and I am so pleased to announce the site today," said Ms Hancock.
"The project will deliver purpose built learning spaces but also consider opportunities for the local community to access the new facilities as well providing for the Nowra community for years to come."

Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said the announcement marks an important step in the project with yet another regional community to benefit from the NSW Government's historic investment in public education infrastructure.
The NSW Government is investing $7.9 billion over the next four years, continuing its program to deliver 215 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW.
This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
