The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District confirmed the new case is located in the 2541 postcode in Wednesday's update.
This new case breaks the LGA's two day streak of no new cases of COVID-19. The last time the Shoalhaven recorded no new cases during the Delta variant outbreak was September 7.
The Delta outbreak first arrived in the Shoalhaven on September 3 when two cases were confirmed by NSW Health.
The Shoalhaven recorded its highest tally of numbers on October 1, when 17 residents across the LGA tested positive to the virus.

NSW Health has listed two new COVID exposure sites in Nowra overnight.
Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed is a casual contact and must get tested and self-isolate until a negative result is received:
- Nowra: Repco Nowra, 13 East Street4:25pm to 4:40pm on Tuesday, October 26
- Nowra: Wan Long Oriental Store Nowra, 86 Worrigee Street4:05pm to 4:20pm on Tuesday, October 26
Cases across the district are remaining steady with only three cases in total confirmed across the region, with Wollongong recording two new cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
On Tuesday, the ISLHD reported five new COVID cases across the district and on Monday, it reported three new cases.
There have now been 2,439 local cases of COVID-19 in the ISLHD since the start of the outbreak in June.
The state's numbers remain under 200, as 190 new COVID cases and four deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm last night were reported.
93.6 per cent of NSW's population aged 16 years and older has now had their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 88.3 per cent are fully vaccinated.
