Not only did she perform well, she in fact made a clean sweep of all the event she contested, a phenomenal achievement going up against some of the best athletes in the country.
In the 60m sprint Smart secured gold in 8.32 and then backed it up in the 100m with a win in 13.13 seconds.
This was just the beginning however.
In the 200m Smart yet again crossed the line first in 26.10, and in her self confessed favourite event the 400m, Smart secured a sub one minute for gold in 59.56.
In the 800m? Did you think it would be any different? I don't think so.
Smart once again claimed the first place finish and a gold medal, with a time of 2.27.28.
Her performance came off the back of a fantastic performance at the State Masters where she also took home gold in the same five events.
Her success in the sport is a testament to her dedication and work ethic.
Smart trains upwards of three times a week and her commitment to the sport of athletics is paying off big time as her continued success directly correlates to that passion.
Smart has a fantastic reputation in the Nowra athletics scene, with members citing her as someone who heavily supports other athletes in the club and an athlete who's a great mentor for the younger members.
It is just evident that Smart is a champion both on and off the track.
