After dispatching of the Blues, headlined by Ulladulla's Matthews Gilkes, at Drummoyne Oval last month, the two sides locked horns in another Sheffield Shield fixture in Melbourne.
Behind 128 from Bomaderry High School alumnus Maddinson, the hosts declared at 9-313 in their first innings.
In reply, the Blues were skittled for just 140, with Gilkes managing 16 and fellow opener Daniel Hughes top-scoring with 59.
Scott Boland caused most of the damage with 3-33 from his 18 overs.
In their second innings, 33 from Maddinson, along with 90 from both Peter Hanscomb and Matt Short, guided Victoria to 5-248 declared.
Jack Edwards was the pick of the Blues bowlers with 3-47.
Needing 421 in the second dig for victory, the visitors started poorly, with Gilkes dismissed for a duck.
Despite 89 from Hughes and 42 from Edwards, the Blues fell way short, being all out for 247 on day four - to lose by 147 runs.
Boland took 5-65 with the red ball and was deservedly named player of the match, as Victoria move to 2-0 on the Shield season.
Both teams will now look ahead to their first One-Day Cup clash of the season, when they lock horns on November 12 at the MCG.
Following that, the pair will play another Shield fixture from November 19-22 at the SCG, before another one-day match on November 24 at the same venue.
