Fresh off a player of the match showing against NSW, Maddinson hit 128 from 206 balls on day one of Victoria's Sheffield Shield clash with the Blues at the MCG.
The Bomaderry High School alumnus' knock included 14 boundaries and one six, as the hosts reached 6-283 at stumps on day one.
Maddinson was well supported by teammate James Seymour, who added 105 from 220 deliveries - while Peter Hanscomb contributed 27 from 59.
With the cherry, Liam Hatcher finished the day with 3-81, while Nathan Lyon and Sean Abbott took 2-47 and 1-74 respectively for the visitors - whose side features Ulladulla's Matthew Gilkes.
