I am 68 yrs. old, physically and mentally very active and healthy. I have no experience in politics. I joined the Sustainable Australia Party in 2012.
What's your profession outside of politics?
I recently retired after a career of 40+ years spent working as a Scientific Officer/Manager in diagnostic and clinical research medicine, in the Federal and State Health sectors, as well as the private medical sector. Before retiring, I was the Manager of Oncology Clinical Trials Dept. for 10 yrs. at a NSW Public Hospital.
Why are you involved in politics?
There seems to be a weird inconsistency where the Liberals, Labor and the Greens, many intellectuals, and the media are talking about dealing with climate change, overdevelopment, lack of infrastructure and services, unaffordable housing, stagnant wages growth, water shortages, etc. yet ignore they ignore our rapid population growth that is the elephant in the room which is a causal factor of all these problems.
What is the primary objective you would like to achieve in this electorate?
I want to ensure voters have a choice to vote for a Party that will include better planning to stop the over-development that threatens to crowd and trash our coastal areas and forested hinterlands. We need to deliver new community infrastructure before more housing is approved. I want to ensure real planning power returns to the community.

What's the biggest (state government) issue affecting people in your electorate?
The dilemma of overdevelopment and congestion of our small towns caused by rising population pressures, driving growth, at the expense of our prime agricultural land, biodiversity, heritage and coastal character. At the same time, highways and areas like Albion Park Rail, become more congested, improvements in infrastructure like rail, lag behind.
How do you propose to help with this?
Campaign for better rail infrastructure and services, both in the short and long term. Campaign for Local Environmental Plans to be respected by our State Government. Draw attention to the source of overdevelopment being the pressure of population growth from our current immigration rate which is thrice the long-term average.
If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
David Attenborough.
Why?
I would like to talk with him about his views on how we can maintain the biological ecosystems all living things, including humans depend on. Given that humans have overpopulated the planet and its capacity to support them at the Western level of living standards all people now aspire to.
What is your favourite drink?
I'll have to join Patsy and Eddy (Ab Fab) and go for a glass of "Bolly" - French Champagne, or perhaps H.G. Mumm.
What is your favourite hobby?
Gardening, bees and visiting open gardens. I love the wildlife in my garden, it's alive with birds, insects, a resident echidna, bluetongue and two wallaby's who visit.
What is your favourite book?
Too many! I recently enjoyed reading Big, Little Lies" by Liane Moriarty. A book I treasure is "The Voyage of the Beagle"by Charles Darwin, The Illustrated Edition of Charles Darwin's Travel Memoir and Field Journal. It is full of picture, maps and drawings.
What is your favourite TV series at the moment?
I am just catching up with the last series of Vikings on Netflix, love the music.
