AT just six years old, the life of Sussex Inlet’s Jasmine Greenwood would change forever when she fell sick with appendicitis.
During this time, the now Shoalhaven High School student, suffered an acquired brain injury.
As a form of rehabilitation, she was recommended to start swimming, which she did with the Bay and Basin Amateur Swim Club.
Since then, Greenwood has gone from strength to strength with the swimming, dominating in the pool at a state, national and international level – including appearances at both the Para Pan Pacs and the Commonwealth Games.
So tune in below to hear sports editor Courtney Ward and Greenwood, the newly crowned Shoalhaven Junior Sportperson of the Year, discuss her journey in the pool as well as what’s next on her radar.
