Effective immediately, under the Red Alert level, there are no visitors permitted to patients on general wards.
The ISLHD spokesperson advised there are exemptions for specific wards, such as at the children's ward, maternity/birthing and at the palliative care ward. Visit the COVID-19 section of ISLHD's website for further details.
Hospitals in Wollongong, Shellharbour, Bulli, Coledale and Port Kembla were already at Red Alert level.
