Shoalhaven Heads' Terry Robinson took out the TAB Highway 1500-metre class three plate with his four-year-old mare So Say You.
Ridden by Brock Ryan, the Regal Lodge-trained daughter of So You Think edged Keith Dryden's Dream Runner by 0.1 lengths - with Danny Williams' Bold and Wild third.
"She's been working up to a really good race and her past couple of runs have been very strong," Robinson said on Sky Thoroughbred Central.
"She's a mare who took a while to settle down and she's still not quite there but I do think she'll eventually end up being a nice middle-distance mare.
"It was a great ride by Brock from the right draw and the better track suited her.
"There was a lot in her favour and it worked out well."
Not to be outdone was Cuban Royale, trained by former Nowra-based duo Robert and Luke Price, who took out the 1200-metre handicap.
The six-year-old gelding, also ridden by Brock Ryan, took line honours by 0.67 lengths from Bjorn Baker's He's a Hotshot.
