"Basketball NSW has made the decision that all Waratah junior and senior league games that involve metropolitan teams will not be played this weekend," a BNSW spokesperson said in a statement.
That means both Shoalhaven Tigers senior Waratah League sides will take to the hardwood this Saturday, as Ben Bagoly's men are at Newcastle while Ben Morris' youth squad are in Goulburn.
One team that is affected is Scott Balsar's Illawarra Hawks youth men's side, who were scheduled to host St George at the Snakepit on Saturday.
Making the decision more disappointing for the red and whites, whose side features Nowra's Kyle Leslie, is the fact the club's Pink Round - in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation - was supposed to take place.
That event, much like all the other impacted matches this weekend including the Barrengarry competition, will be postponed until a date still to be determined by Basketball NSW.
