Shoalhaven product Scott Balsar and his side opened their double-header weekend at home against the tough North Sydney Bears.
On the back of 18 points from Harry Morris, as well as contributions from Brandon Freire (16), Kyle Leslie (12) and Harrison Matthew (12), the Hawks soared to a 68-58 win.
Less than 24 hours later, the red and whites returned to the Snakepit to face the Hills Hornets.
Balsar's troops built on their win from the day before, to down the visitors 89-74.
Leading the way in the victory was Freire (25), Morris (21) and Shoalhaven Tigers junior Leslie (19).
These two wins improved the Hawks to 8-3 on the season and solidified third spot on the ladder - just behind leader Central Coast and second-placed Bankstown.
Next up for the Hawks is a home clash with the St George Saints, which is part of the Illawarra Basketball Association's Pink Round, raising money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation - with all five of the club's senior teams playing at the Snakepit on Saturday.
