It's time for the future of the world to have their break after their semester of treacherous learning.
With the world affected from COVID, there will be some parents that will be able to look after their children while still working from the comfort of their homes.
Some are not so lucky and will be looking at the use of vacation care, friends or the ever reliable grandparents to step in and look after these young minds and bodies.
Some parents and carers might have children at the age where they are considering whether or not to put the trust in them to remain at home by themselves.
In hope that they are reliable enough to look after themselves and not destroy the home before you get back from a hard day's work.
These are big and worrying decisions for anyone to make, but make sure you take certain considerations into account.

Understand that you, as the parent or carer, are the best judge on if your child is responsible enough to be safe at home.
You need to think about your child's ability to cope with a regular day at home by themselves, as well as being prepared for the unexpected.
If you are planning on leaving your child at home, make sure that they understand all rules, safety plans and emergency procedures.
I'm sure there are plenty of children that can be left at home with the expectation of feeding themselves and keeping themselves entertained.
They also need to understand what is needed from them in a change of circumstances.
This may include knowing your phone numbers for the small mishaps, not answering the door to people they don't know and even knowing the emergency numbers to call or neighbour to run to in case of the unexpected emergency.
As we all know, it's all about their safety being the first concern.
As for the children keeping their rooms tidy while at home alone, that is a whole different kettle of fish, which I may not be able to find the answer for.
Happy Holidays.
