But that is not the opinion shared by all local tourism operators.
Jervis Bay Rentals Booking manager Caroline Roberts said there has been a flurry of cancellations since the Sydney COVID outbreak escalated on Wednesday.

"There were probably about 10 or 12 bookings due to arrive within the next seven days and most of them will reschedule when they can," she said.
"We still have a number of bookings coming in over the weekend who are not within the COVID restricted zone because Greater Sydney has not been locked down.
"We've got all the information on what suburbs and postcodes people are coming from so we will be making sure they are not coming from a restricted hotspot."
Mrs Roberts said credits were being issued for customers to come back on a future date.
"I think we're so used to this and it seems to happen right before a long weekend or right before school holidays. We're rolling with the punches now and in some way preparing for the worst - anything can happen in these times," she said.
Accommodation providers in the Ulladulla area remain hopeful they will still experience reasonable trade over the school holiday period despite the latest COVID outbreak.
However, there have been some cancellations.
"Yesterday [Wednesday] was busy with cancellations," one Mollymook venue reports.
But with many people not being able to head interstate as planned, the South Coast is looking to be an option.
"We had a few new requests for bookings," the same Mollymook venue reports.
Another Ulladulla accommodation provider reports they have had hardly any cancellations at all, which was also reflected in the Lake Conjola and Mollymook areas.
The area's biggest tourist park operators, Shoalhaven City Council's Holiday Haven don't appear to have so far been affected by the latest COVID restrictions, reporting "all parks continue to experience higher than usual occupancy".
Further north, Gerringong Coast and Country holiday property manager Rachel Mackenzie said there had been a lot of people calling about cancelling or rescheduling their bookings.
"We've been very forgiving as we understand that it's not the guest's fault. Obviously we'd prefer to be COVID safe than to let someone come here that shouldn't be here - we don't want to be the reason for an outbreak," she said.
Mrs Roberts from Jervis Bay Rentals said things could get worse in the short term if the Victorian border is slammed shut but over the longer term, bookings may possibly benefit as NSW residents opt to travel within their borders.
"That's what happened over January when the northern beaches cluster took off. We had a lot of cancellations which were then quickly refilled from people in other regional areas," said Mrs Roberts.
"It may happen but I don't think people will jump to book things as quickly as they did in January because we are in a quieter time of year."
Huskisson Sandbar Restaurant and Bar and Beach Motel owner John Nixon said bookings were down but not to a significant extent.
"People are being cautious and leaving cancellations to the last minute which is probably the sensible thing to do," said Mr Nixon.
"We're still getting bookings because at the moment it's a safe area. Whether that changes tomorrow? I don't know."
He said restaurant trade in the Huskisson community was hurting due to what he thought was hesitancy and uncertainty in the community.
"I've had a few people from the local industry ring me to say they have noticed less people coming in," he said.
Shoalhaven City Council operates 12 Holiday Haven Tourist Parks locally, saying all "parks continue to experience higher than usual occupancy".
"The recent COVID-19 restrictions haven't unduly affected bookings, " a Holiday Haven Tourist Parks spokesperson said
"All holiday parks continue to experience higher than usual occupancy.
"As soon as the latest COVID-19 restrictions were announced the Holiday Haven team implemented measures to ensure the safety of our guests, staff and the broader community, including contact with guests who are unable to travel.
"Holiday Haven Park staff are looking forward to welcoming guests for the imminent school holidays and our guests can be reassured that COVID-19 safe practices are being followed including QR codes and health declarations."
