Heading into the match, the Cubs sat in third on the Waratah League division two ladder, one sport behind the Sharks.
But 13 points from Jeremy Harding and a committed defensive effort - restricting the visitors at the Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre Stadium to their lowest scoring out of the season - the black and golds leapfrogged their rivals into second spot on the ladder after 10 rounds.
Harding was one of five Tigers to score in double figures in the win, with Jesse Peters adding 11 and trio Jai Styles, Brayden Morris and Alexander Kessell all finishing with 10.
The Cubs, who have now rattled seven straight wins to improve to 8-1 in 2021, next travel to Goulburn to face the Bears on Saturday.
In other Tigers news, Ben Bagoly's division one men's side had the bye at the weekend and will now turn their attention's to knocking off the Newcastle Hunters on the road on Saturday.
