But this week that backfired on intrepid local photographer Matt Jeffrey.
Jeffrey was on one of his "regular" photographic excursions to Booderee National Park just over a week ago, the same time a Melbourne man, who has since tested positive to COVID, was in the Jervis Bay area.
Jeffery, who's well-known for his stunning photography from across the region, never dreamt one of his "adventures" would lead to him being part of a COVID-19 alert.
He was in the park taking photos on Monday, May 24.

"I was out at Booderee getting some pics of the navy, including their helicopters, in action over Jervis Bay," he said.
He also captured some stunning images of White Bellied Sea Eagles in flight.
He was circumspect about the COVID-19 alert and having to get tested.
"It is what it is," he said.
"Actually the test wasn't that unpleasant.
"We've just got to do it to make sure everyone remains safe and if this is what it takes...."
For Mr Jeffrey it means a couple of days off work as he isolates until his results are available.
"Could be up to 72 hours for the results," he said.
"No work, no Rural Fire Service activities and no photographic excursions."
