"It's fantastic news for our region," she said of news released by Prime Minister Scott Morrison that $400 million will be allocated for stage one of the $500 million Princes Highway upgrade from Jervis Bay Road to Sussex Inlet Road; a further $100 million for the Jervis Bay Road Intersection upgrade and $19 for the Far North Collector Road Network.
"It's fantastic news for our region," Ms Tribe said.
"The Jervis Bay Road intersection upgrade is something the community has long advocated for.

"We saw tens of thousands of people take the time to physically write their signatures on a petition during a pandemic which demonstrated the level of support for the project which is so badly needed and it's great to see this funding."
She said $500 million towards the upgrade of the Princes Highway south from Jervis Bay Road to Sussex Inlet was a "huge boost".
"The Far North Collector Road [which will connect Moss Vale Road at Cambewarra to West Cambewarra Road at North Nowra] is also a badly needed project," she said.
"We have seen the traffic build up on the Princes Highway and Illaroo Road and this will take some of the pressure off.
"It's important and will give peace of mind back to residents up there and provide a link back to Moss Vale Road.
"It will also allow the growth planned for that area to happen."
Ms Tribe says the huge injection of funds will "take the pressure off the state government".
"Hopefully, it will mean we will see more projects delivered sooner and is just more investment in our area," she said.
"It means work will continue, workers will be here spending money, productivity increases which is great for business as well.
"There are lots of wins for the community and business."
Vincentia Matters secretary Liz Tooley, whose organisation has campaigned for more than two years for an upgrade of the Jervis Bay Road intersection south of Nowra, said they were "absolutely delighted" by the news the troubled intersection would receive $100 milliion in funding in the federal budget.
"We were very excited when we heard the news released Monday," Mrs Tooley said.
"We are assuming it means the construction will start towards the end of next year as originally promised.
"It's a great announcement and we are all very excited."
She said the organisation had been trying to find out where money was?
"Did it exist?" she said "And finally it appears it does exist.
"The intersection will get the promised upgrade, the flyover, starting towards the end of next year.
"We are hoping that the Jervis Bay Road intersection will be seen as a separate project to the rest of the highway upgrade and will be started and delivered on time, not waiting for the long and expensive upgrade of highway further south."
