While Creswell was not open to the public, members of the New Entry Officer Cadet class 64 and other base personnel staged a solemn service.
The Royal Australian Naval College on the shores of Jervis Bay usually stages a dawn service for personnel and the local Jervis Bay community, but this year due to COVID concerns the service could not be open to the public.
HMAS Creswell Commanding Office, Captain Warren Bairstow presented one of the speeches during the dawn service.

For the new officers, who were experiencing their first dawn service at Creswell, it was a time to reflect on the contribution made by all past and present servicemen and women who have displayed great courage, discipline and self-sacrifice in choosing a life of service to their country.
And right on cue Mother Nature came to the party, putting on a brilliant dawn to mark the special occasion.
