The seventh-placed Titans, coached by former Milton-Ulladulla Bulldog Justin Holbrook, are licking the wounds following their heaviest defeat of the season to Manly-Warringah (36-nil) on Saturday.
But Rein knows his side are ready to rebound against talented Rabbitohs side, featuring Nowra-born five-eighth Cody Walker - despite missing key forward Tino Fa'asuamaleaui (suspension).
"Souths have strike weapons all over the park and their results have been showing that of late," said Rein, who was this week unveiled alongside Jaimin Jolliffe as the club's ambassadors for the Veteran Health Association's 'Better Life Program' - aimed at improving the physical and mental health of returned servicemen and women.
"It's a massive game for us in terms of our season because we all know we're better than we showed last week against Manly - it was a little bit of a wake-up call.
"We're all disappointed with that performance but have put it behind us now.
"Last week's loss shows you have to turn up every week, otherwise you'll get dusted like we did - there are no easy games in the competition.
"We may have had a false sense of security on how well we were actually travelling this season.
"Although it's been a short turnaround, we've addressed a number of the keys areas that let us down last week, bunkered down at training and each and every one of us is ready to focus on playing better individually and as a team."
From a personal perspective, the Kiama High School alumnus knows each week is a personal audition for a new contract - as his is set to expire at the end of 2021.
"The biggest focus at the moment for me has been making a strong start to the season with the Titans and doing what I can to help the team win," he said.
"Once we get further into the season, I'm sure my manager and I, as well as the club, will have discussions about the future.
"Obviously I'd love to stay at the club but all I can do at this point is go out there and put my best foot forward."
