This is the second weekend Nowra Velo Club riders have gathered medals at the NSW Championships.
Last weekend, Adrian McMillan won five medals in masters racing while Curtis' sister, Amelia rode into a bronze medal in the NSW under 19 junior women's individual pursuit championship.
This silver medal won over this weekend is Curtis' first state medal where he qualified second fastest to Dubbo's Ben Anderson.
There was an eight-second margin between them in this round but they both progressed to the final for gold and silver.
Curtis, 15, put in a huge effort in the final to shorten the margin with ben going on to win by only three seconds.
The last six months have seen a massive improvement in Curtis Trkulja's racing where he has won the Nowra Velo Club's mountain championship, finished second to Levi Johns in the club's criterium championship and third in the NVC's 80-kilometre road championship.
