The Eagles won each of its first 16 games of the 2020-21 campaign - a streak which extends to 21 games is you include last season, which ended abruptly due to COVID-19.
Senior Zunic and his side opened the season with a 75-67 win against UNC Greensboro, before downing Little Rock 80-75.
They then rattled off back-to-back victories against USC Upstate 95-77 and 107-77, before downing Furman (87-71), Campbell (84-83 and 94-76), Charlestown South (85-69 and 78-76), Gardner-Webb (75-65 and 91-83), Longwood (72-61 and 70-50), Presbyterian (72-58 and 78-66) and USC Asheville (84-80).
But in the second game of their double-header with the Bulldogs, the Eagles lost 57-55 at the Winthrop Coliseum.
Zunic, who is averaging 4.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 19.6 minutes per game this season, and will look to return to the winner's circle this week when they face Radford at the Donald N. Dedmon Center on Thursday, February 11.
