At the Bernie Regan Sports Complex, the Magpies were sent in by Norths.
The visitors started slowly, dropping to 4-31 after the dismissals of Andrew Wright (two), Jarrod Mitchel (zero), Dylan Cosgrove (13) and Alec Dobson (four).
Despite a gritty 14 from Daniel Troy, the Magpies' fortunes didn't get any better, as they fell to be 7-58 midway through their innings.
But a courageous 48 from Dale Lovatt and 35 from Charlie Howard (who combined for a 79-run partnership) helped Berry fight back and post 147 from their 43.5 overs.
With the white ball, the hosts were best served by Matt Hickmott (3-17), while Nick McDonald (2-6) and Troy Sweet (2-17) also grabbed multiple wickets.
In reply, Norths were also slow out of the gates, slumping to 3-29 despite 18 from opener Josh Coulter.
Former Magpie Nathan Thomas then entered the crease and revelled in the chance to take on his former teammates - smashing two boundaries and one six on his way to scoring 40.
His knock was only better by a blazing Ben Beck, who belted three boundaries and three sixes on his way to an unbeaten 46.
These two efforts helped the hosts reach 8-148 in the 42nd over.
In the loss, Jacob Temple took 4-27 for Berry, as Daniel Troy claimed 2-16.
This result leaves Norths, who are on 34 alongside Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens, in first on percentage, while Berry is in fourth on 13.
Next round, Norths, who now have two wins and one draw this season, host Nowra, while Berry, who drops to one win and two losses in 2020-21, travels to Hayden Drexel Oval to face Ex-Servos.
