Anchored by reigning Australian and NSW champion Nic Squires and recent Cronulla Open champion Kalani Ball, the five-person team shone in the event, nailing a huge amount of high scores before posting the win ahead of Bondi Boardriders, Maroubra United and Ulladulla who claimed second, third and fourth respectively.
Ball put on an impeccable display of surfing in the small conditions, consistently posting excellent scores in excess of 8.00 points.
As a result, Ball was awarded the Oakley Prize Award.
"I really appreciate Surfing NSW and all the clubs coming and being part of this awesome day," said Scarborough Boardriders manager Christian De Clouett.
"We had a pretty special day with Kalani not dropping a score under an eight and the rest of the club pulling together to put on an incredible performance and to take this after just missing out on the national final last year is an awesome feeling.
"We can't wait to get there."
The nudie Australian Boardriders Battle, now in its eighth season, saw 13 boardriders clubs, including the Culburra Beach and Werri Beach Boardriders, competing for the chance to qualify for the national final which will take place in 2021.
