After losing their Shoalhaven District Cricket Association one-day season opener to Nowra, the reigning premiers lost the toss at the Berry Sports Complex - seeing the Bay head to the crease first.
Despite a solid 37 from opener Stephen Knight, a handy 25 from James Dickinson and 11 by Marc Stiller, the visitors were all out for 117 in the 43rd over.
The chief destroyers for the Magpies were Daniel Troy and Jacob Temple, who finished with 3-8 and 3-25 respectively.
The other three wickets were claimed by Dale Lovatt (1-8), Glenn Brandon (1-15) and Callum Crapp (1-27).
In reply, the hosts made light work of the chase - reaching the target (3-119) in the 33rd over.
Skipper Jarrod Mitchell led the way with an unbeaten 50, while Dylan Cosgrove hit 41 for Berry.
Dylan Rotherham (1-5), Stiller (1-9) and Dickinson (1-26) all took wickets in the loss.
Next week, Berry, who is now 1-1, travel to the Bernie Regan Sporting Complex to face North Nowra-Cambewarra, while the winless Bay take on Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens at Hayden Drexel Oval.
