Some shoppers reported being told the October 28 evacuation was not a drill, but a Coles spokesperson has denied there are any safety concerns.

Instead, they said the evacuations were part of mandatory testing for new safety equipment.
"Coles Nowra is currently undergoing a renovation and new safety and fire systems have been installed, which required mandatory testing," the spokesperson said.
"We apologise to any customers who have been inconvenienced, however we would like to reassure all shoppers that there are no safety concerns."
Renovations at the store are ongoing. The new store will open on November 11.
