Those organisations, that split the $2,855.10 raised evenly, are the Shoalhaven Youth Centre and Rose Mumbler Village - who both play a big role in helping the Indigenous community within the area.

"We chose these two organisations after discussions with the local Indigenous community," Shoalhaven Basketball Association president Maddison Hanlon said.

"It important to SBA to hold these types of events, as it's not just about basketball.

"These are an opportunity to bring the local community together and celebrate something very special, this year being NAIDOC Week."

Over it's 60-year existence, the SBA staged numerous charitable events, such as donning pink jerseys last year and the Ballin for a Cure carnival, which Scott Balsar ran for more than 10 years (raising more than $100,000) - with proceeds of these events going to organisations such as the National Brest Cancer Foundation, McGrath Foundation, Motor Neurone Disease Association and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

"It's always great when we have the chance to return the support we receive from our local community," Hanlon said.

"We have a proud history of events like this and there are already plans for more in the future."
