Fresh off their win against Spain, which saw them finish third in their pool behind Ukriane and Argentina, Atkins' Pararoos ran riot on Saturday, to defeat Thailand 5-nil.
Atkins, who found the back of the net for his first ever goal at a World Cup, was just one of four scorers for the green and golds.
Ben Roche scored a brace for Kai Lammert's side, while skipper David Barber netted on his 40th birthday - with young gun Connor Bunce kicking the fifth goal, which marks the fourth time he's scored on the international stage.
Next up for Australia is a clash with Germany on Tuesday.
