Rae was elected to the position at the organisation's AGM earlier this year.
Rae has been involved with the Shoalhaven Eisteddfod for 35 years, and has filled a number of positions in that time.
Most recently, she was the organising secretary, a role she will continue with as well as that of President.
Rae also represents the Shoalhaven Eisteddfod Committee at the national conferences of AESA (Association of Eisteddfod Societies of Australia).
Her knowledge of the Eisteddfod's history in this region has proven to be invaluable to the Eisteddfod Committee.
The 2019 City of Shoalhaven Eisteddfod begins this Friday, May 17, at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre with Schools' Dance.
The Shoalhaven Eisteddfod will culminate in the Stars of the Eisteddfod Concert on Saturday, June 22.
