The Auckland Contenders took out the prestigious Mitre 10 Cup last year in New Zealand and have embarked on an Aussie tour, recently playing the Brumbies side in Canberra.
Miller has been part of the Waratahs’ Super Rugby make up both last year and this season, even captaining the side in pre-season trials this year.
In a bid to offer the extended NSW Waratahs squad more exposure and minutes to quality games, the Emerging Talent side will feature some of the Tahs Super Rugby players combined with players identified through the NRC, Shute Shield and the NSW Academy.

Emerging Waratahs head coach and former Shoalhaven based NSW Rugby development officer, Shannon Fraser, said this game will kick off a series of matches this year designed to give the NSW Waratahs squad and those players identified in the extended squad, the chance to get more game minutes under their belt.
“With the Super Rugby competition starting early this year and given the NSW Waratahs player management commitment for Wallabies players looking for World Cup selection, Daryl Gibson has made it a priority to depth in his extended squad is to ensure he has guys he can call up to the Waratahs with actual game time minutes,” he said.
“Our team is combination of NSW Waratahs players looking for more game time as well as the emerging talent coming through our NSW rugby player pathway programs.
“We are using this as an opportunity to not only give our emerging talent more quality competitions, but also developing our support staff.
