In addition to recently naming the 12 players in both the under 17s and 19s state teams, NSW selectors have also identified 26 other players for next year’s NSW talent squad, which will keep the players engaged in the Netball NSW High Performance Pathway.
Each player selected in the talent squad, which includes athletes from regional and metro areas, impressed selectors with their potential to play for NSW in the future.
Joining Parrott, who this year helped her GWS Fury side reach the Premier League under 20s grand final, in the talent squad are Alysha Pearson, Amelia Kirgan, Anastasia Afoa, Ashleigh Selwyn, Beatrice Dignan, Brooklyn O’Mara, Charlotte Smith, Courtney Castle, Dakota Thomas, Emily Wise, Erin O’Brien, Georgia Cottle, Hannah Cullen, Hayley Biddulph, Jemma Donoghue, Laura Cook, Madeline Melvelle, Matilda Elliott, Olivia Coleman, Olivia Johnston, Rose Hughes, Sarah Okunbor, Stella Atkinson, Tegan Holland and Violet Wetsteyn.
On top of naming a talent squad, Netball NSW also unveiled a regional talent squad – aimed to provide selected athletes with more opportunity to excel in netball, by providing them with specialist coaching and strength and conditioning sessions.
Parrott is also part of the NSW mixed opens side, which will travel to Melbourne next Easter.
