Celebration of Food Month
All through May, chefs of the Shoalhaven are spotlighting the best of local food and wine for Celebration of Food Month. Highlights for this weekend include: Coolangatta Estate's exclusive tour and wine tasting (May 5), Bangalay Dining's special menu of local oysters (May 6-8), Hampden Deli's "Mum's Night Out' degustation (May 6), and a Mother's Day high tea at Decadence Cakes and Gifts (May 8). Jane Eyre on stage
Charlotte Brontë's iconic gothic tale, boldly adapted for the stage by critically-acclaimed shake & stir theatre co. Witness one of the most iconic pieces of English literature retold in a faithful yet fiercely original new stage adaptation. Playing at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre on May 7 at 8pm, and May 8 at 2pm. shake & stir theatre co. will bring Jane Eyre to the stage on May 7 and 8.

Big Country Festival
Grab your boots and hat, cowboys and cowgirls! Big Country Festival is back at Berry Showgrounds this Saturday, May 7. Modern-day icons including Lee Kernaghan, Adam Brand, The McClymonts, and The Wolfe Brothers are headlining, along with international sensations LANCO. The event will also feature the exciting PBR Pro Bull Riding. All the info on tickets, lineup, getting there, and camping is available on the Big Country Festival website.

Op Shop Formal Fundraiser
It's time to bust out your most garish garments, and dance the night away. The Op Shop Formal fundraiser is boogie-ing into St George's Basin this Saturday night, complete with raffles, auction, and dance contests. Join in the fun to raise money for a local family battling pancreatic cancer. Grooving at The Country Club St Georges Basic on May 7, from 7pm.
Ghost Walk
See Milton's spooky side
Discover the lives of notable figures who are believed to haunt the historic town of Milton. Presented by local youth, the Milton Ghost Walk is a fascinating and spooky tour sure to delight the history buffs, ghost hunters, and keen adventurers. Tours will set off from Settlement Stores Milton at 6pm, 6.30pm, and 7pm on Saturday (May 7); book online via Heritage Tourism AU.

Mother's Day Classic
Lace up your running shoes for Huskisson's sixth annual Mothers' Day Classic. This delightfully pink fun run (and walk) is part of the nation-wide event that raises funds for breast cancer research. Sign up online for the 3km walk or the 6km run; there will also be plenty of family fun on the day. Get ready, get set - events start at 8.30am on Sunday (May 8).

World of Musicals
The world-renowned musical gala, World of Musicals, is bringing Broadway and the West End direct to Nowra. The high-energy revue features of all your favourite musical theatre hits - The Lion King, Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hairspray, Les Miserables, and many more - all in one mega show. On stage for one night only, 9 April. Tickets are available through Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.

World Championship Gold Buckle Campdraft
Witness the outstanding skill and horsemanship of the world's best campdrafters at the World Championship Gold Buckle Campdraft. This uniquely Australian sport is coming to Bawley Point for four exciting days of competition. Spectator-favourite events will feature, including the World Championship Gold Buckle, Cut-Out Feature, Ladies Dash for Cash, State of Origin, and Breed for the Future Parade. After the sport is over, there will be musical performances by Lee Kernaghan and James Blundell. Tickets are online. May 11-14 at Willinga Park.
