The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District recorded 645 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 4pm yesterday.
The figure is higher than yesterday's total of 520 cases, but continues a week-long decline from over 1000 new cases each day last week to less than 600.
No deaths were recorded in the local health district.
Of the positive cases reported, 238 were from positive PCR tests and 407 from positive rapid antigen tests (RATs).
The figures come as NSW records 11,166 cases statewide, an increase on the previous day's figures of 9725 but below the 13,601 reported on Saturday.
NSW Health reported four deaths around NSW, two people in their 60s, one in their 70s and one in their 80s.
Two were from Western Sydney, one from Sydney's north and one from the Central Coast.
"NSW Health expresses its sincere condolences to their loved ones," the Department said.
Across NSW there are 1576 COVID cases in hospital, with 67 in intensive care and 22 that require ventilation.
The hospitalisation and intensive care figures are stable on the previous week's figures.

Booster doses remained steady with 61.8 of those aged 16 and over having received a third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Of children aged 12 to 15, 83.3 have received a first dose and 79.6 have received two.
Nearly 50 per cent of children aged 5 to 11 have received a first dose and 32.7 have received two.
