League general manager Ashton Sims confirmed the washout on Friday, with the round to be moved to July 30 and 31.
Stingrays were scheduled to kick the season off at Flinders Field against Gerringong on Saturday afternoon.
The postponement comes after last year's competition ended after 14 rounds due to the second COVID lockdown.
Meanwhile, the Football South Coast District League will take centre stage on Saturday, with a full round of games on the Ian McLennan Park synthetic pitch.
The entire round of the Illawarra Premier League has been washed out, after the success of six games of action on the synthetic last Saturday.
In Illawarra Rugby, a decision will be made next week about the format of the season, which will likely start in early May, after the early rounds were abandoned.
