The NSW Masters Track Cycling Championships were held at the Dunc Gray Olympic velodrome at Bankstown.
Racing began on Friday, where McMillan in Masters eight and Verdi (Masters 9) both won their first gold of the series.
McMillan then backed up on Saturday and won his division masters sprint championship and finished second for silver in the scratch race championship.
This scratch race championship had the masters eight and nine age divisions racing together. McMillan was second over the line with Verdi finishing fifth.
As the first placed division nine rider to finish, Verdi is awarded the gold medal for his age division.
McMillan then returned for another day of racing on Sunday where he won the 500 metre time trial gold medal.
Verdi was also on the track over these days but as the only starter in his age division in two events, he stood on the podium alone.
On the final day of racing, McMillan joined the Illawarra team for the bronze medal final of the team pursuit for another medal, this time of a different colour.
Also racing on this masters championship series over the weekend was other Nowra Velo Club riders, Steve Gendek and Philip Rice.
Gendek raced all disciplines in a hard masters division seven and was out of the reach of the medals while Rice placed fifth in that age division scratch race championship.
Both riders were valuable team supporters of the NVC medal winners.
The next step for these velodrome performers is the Australian Masters championships in Brisbane in April.
