This included a pair of $3.5 million-plus sales on the South Coast, and another home which changed hands after more than 50 years in the same ownership.
According to CoreLogic's preliminary figures, of the 23 results collected for the Illawarra so far, there was an auction clearance rate of 82.6 per cent for the week ending March 6.
A Gerroa beach cottage that has earned up to $5000 a week as a holiday rental sold for $3.8 million on Saturday.
The three-bedroom home is located at 31 Burke Parade, Gerroa, and had a price guide of $3.6 million to $3.9 million.
It was initially passed in at auction, and the sale was negotiated afterwards.
Selling agent, Ryan Stalgis from First National Coast & Country said the bidding failed to meet the reserve price during the auction.
Mr Stalgis said there were four registered bidders including two active bidders, and one of the parties registered to bid online due to the heavy rains.
The property boasts uninterrupted views of Seven Mile Beach and Crooked River.
Offered as a turn-key sale with all furnishings included, the buyer can potentially inherit the existing holiday rental set-up.
Dozens of locals gathered to watch the home at 122 Elizabeth Drive, Vincentia sell for $3,540,000 at an online/on-site hybrid auction on Saturday.
The home sits on 708 square metres, and is located on the shores of Collingwood Beach with Jervis Bay views.
The two-storey home features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, an internal/external lift and two living areas on both levels flowing onto outdoor alfresco areas.
Selling agent, Robert Zuzic from Oz Combined Realty Bay & Basin said the property was sold to a local buyer, and the result exceeded the reserve price.
He said there 14 registered bidders, with three parties aggressively bidding on the home. Half of the bidders took part online.
Mr Zuzic said several dozen locals attended on-site, keen to see what the prominently located property sold for.
"It's a great beachfront property," he said.
Meanwhile, the home at 3 Uralba Street, West Wollongong sold under the hammer last week for $1.223 million.
Selling agent, Neil Webster from Stone Real Estate Illawarra said it had been an "emotional" sale, as the vendors had owned the home for more than 50 years and were relocating to Canberra to be closer to family.
"The vendors were online in Canberra, so it helped with the emotional side as they weren't physically there," he said.
"They had also put a lot of effort into preparing the property for market - new paint inside and out, gardening and having it staged."
Mr Webster said six registered bidders fought it out for the hotly contested three-bedroom property.
Mr Webster said four of the bidders were in person and two online given the weather, with the parties being a mix of Sydney-siders and locals.
"The final sale price was well above vendor expectations, with a young local family upsizing from Corrimal being the eventual purchasers," he said.
"They had missed out on a another property we recently auctioned in Figtree."
