Berry
Berry Rotary Club's 'Big Breakfast'
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So why don't you begin your Australia Day by visiting the Rotary Club of Berry who will be hosting a big breakfast between 8am to 11am at the Berry Showground.
The best news? All the food will be free of charge. This includes egg and bacon sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
There will also be entertainment all morning with a variety of activities for kids, including a jumping castle, quoits, hula hoops and more.
The event will also comprise of an Australia Day citizenship ceremony and an address by keynote speaker Heather McDonald.
While it's free, the club would greatly appreciate any form of donation to their community projects so that they can continue to provide quality events to the town of Berry.
Shoalhaven Heads
Pop up celebrity chef at Heads
Celebrity Chef, Mark 'Black' Olive will be undertaking a pop-up kitchen at the Heads Hotel from 1:30pm-5:30pm.
He'll be cooking all sorts of things like kangaroo burgers and pepperberry sauce, veggie burgers, mini pavlova with wattleseed cream and berry coulis, iced coffee with wattleseed cream and macadamia nuts with roasted saltbush and pepperleaf.
The Dirty Grooves will be playing live from 1pm-5pm, with crab racing from 1pm.
Nowra
Free family fun day planned for Nowra's Australia Day
Rotary Nowra will again host the free breakfast and family entertainment at the Nowra Showground to mark Australia Day.
Hosted on behalf of the Shoalhaven City Council Nowra Rotarians and friends of Rotary Nowra, the1st Illaroo Scouts and their supporters will cook and serve free bacon and egg rolls from 8am on Australia Day.
Families can also enjoy the free live entertainment that will kick off at 8.15am with a rousing performance by the Shoalhaven Pipes and Drums marching on to the showground.
Following that local entertainers Sam and Sian, Anthony Snape and Jacii Leigh will perform on stage.
As well as the onstage entertainment there will be plenty of other free activity on the oval throughout the morning to keep the whole family entertained including -
Displays by 1st Illaroo Scouts, Emergency Services and others, a heritage and collector car display, rock climbing, gumboot throwing, nail driving, facepainting and other kids activities, while the Showmow Australia; Lawn Mower Racing will be held on the Added Area.
There will also be vendors on the oval selling coffee, drinks, ice cream and market stalls selling or promoting their wares.
There will be plenty of free parking and the free breakfast tickets will be handed out at the showground gates along with a program of events.
Huskisson
Annual Marine Rescue Jervis Bay Duck Derby Day
The annual Australia Day Marine Rescue Jervis Bay Duck Derby is back and will run from 8.30am to 5pm.
Stalls will open at 8:30am, come have breakfast. At 9am a special ceremony will be held by Gadhungal Murring to walk on country, hear the stories of their ancestors and choose to learn the culturally rich history of the nation. At Moona Moona Creek in Huskisson, a smoking ceremony and cultural workshops will be held from 9am as part of the Marine Rescue NSW Jervis Bay 2022 Duck Derby. Families can enjoy market stalls, food stalls, children's rides and of course the duck race throughout the entire day. This is a great family day which includes markets, food stalls, live entertainment, and of course duck races. Bring the family, grab a picnic rug, wear your best Australia Day gear and watch your duck race to the finish line and perhaps win you $500 cash.
Duck Derby Ducks on sale from 9am, first race at 10.30am. There will also be live a Jazz band, children's rides and novelty stalls.
Huskisson to launch inflatable race for Australia Day
Something different for Australia Day, the Great Inflatable Race is coming to Huskisson!
Blow up your inflatable and get dressed in your wackiest to take part in an epic race across Shark Net Beach on the shores of Jervis Bay. There's loads of other free activities for the family including a live commentary of the race, live music, food trucks, face painting, a surfboard simulator, giant inflatable water slide and more.
The race kicks off at 11am with registration from 9.45am at White Sand Park and there's plenty of prizes to be won including best dressed. Early bird tickets $20 (excl booking fee) with proceeds proudly supporting Marine Rescue and Wandandian Kangaroo and Wallaby Rehabilitation Centre.

Sussex Inlet
Summer at Sussex Australia Day Community Picnic
Enjoy the festivities of Australia Day at the Ellmoos Reserve, in front of the old Sail Fish Club, as well as live music and a traditional wooden boat rally and the Sussex inlet River Dragons demonstration.
Live music: 11:30am - 1pm Re-Petes; 1pm - 2:30pm The Ravens.
There will be a traditional Wooden Boat Rally and Sussex inlet River Dragons demonstration between 11.30am-12.30pm.

Mollymook
Lions Club of Ulladulla Milton to mark Australia Day in style
The Lions Club of Ulladulla Milton has a wonderful day's entertainment and fun ready as part of its Australian Day celebrations.
Mollymook Beach from 9am to 3pm, if you want to take part in what should be a great community event.
You can stroll around the 120 stalls at the Lions Beachside Markets, look at some vintage cars and then admire the displays from the services clubs.
Children can get their face painted and have a ride on the merry-go-round.
The day will start with a Welcome to Country performed by Aunty Neille Mooney at 9am.
The First Burrill-Ulladulla Sea Scouts will then conduct the flag raising ceremony while Lion Jenny Leyshon will sing the National Anthem, accompanied by the Milton Town Band.
Australia Day ambassador Damien Leith will speak about what Australia means to him at 10am.
The annual Bella Coastal Music Scholarship is an event not to be missed and a group of talented young performers will shine on stage. A presentation to the Bella Coastal Music Scholarship scholarship winners will start at 1pm.
Gilmore MP Fiona Phillips will address the gathering from 1.20pm, while Shoalhaven City, Mayor Amanada Finley, will conduct a citizenship ceremony from 1.30pm, followed by her mayoral address.
There will be plenty of things to eat and drink during the day.
All the COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed.
