The Nowra Velo Club was active on two fronts last weekend with an eight rider team at the Unanderra velodrome for the Illawarra Cycle Club's open carnival on Saturday and criterium racing at the Albatross Aviation Technology Park on Sunday.

At the velodrome Josh Ludman was racing in A grade and Hugh Vaughan was racing in the under 17 juniors.
Richard Vitiello, Mark Williams, Adrian McMillan, Phili Rice, Merrick Law and Jamie Overton were racing in B grade.
Most of these riders had podium positions, while Vitiello was the most consistent with two second placings.
Ludman, Rice, Williams, McMillan and Overton joined 30 other riders for the Nowra Velo Club's Sunday morning program where Ludman won the A grade criterium ahead of Curtis Trkulja and Grant Everett (Newcastle Hunter CC).

A very good effort was seen from Canberra junior, Lauren Bate who placed fourth in A grade.
The B grade was another win for Brad Oaten with the placings going to Harry Ludman and Godfrey Green.
Scott James (Illawarra CC) won C grade from Tony Patton and Doug Gray, while Cameron Harrison was the winner of D grade.
Jamie Overton placed second in D grade with Ethan Astley in third position.
Local racing continues this Sunday for the Nowra Velo Club with graded scratch races on the Braidwood Road course, starting from Wugan Street in the Tech Park.
