A man in his 30s was rescued from his upturned kayak 300 metres off Seven Miles Beach at Gerroa on Monday evening.

Multiple emergency services responded to the location around 7.10pm after reports of a kayak capsizing offshore, with the paddler appearing to be in difficulty.
Police said the man was unable to get back onto the craft and was drifting out to sea.
Kiama Surf Lifesaving Club crews responded to the location, with the jetboat and inflatable rescue craft both attending the scene, along with a surf club vehicle at the beach.

A number of NSW Ambulance crews also attended the scene, as did the Toll NSW Ambulance Rescue Helicopter, Marine Rescue NSW and Lake Illawarra Police.
Authorities said thankfully conditions were calm at the time and the man was located by the boat crews and along with his craft returned to shore.
He was assessed by ambulance paramedics and did not require transportation to hospital.
