The day was a joint initiative with Invictus Australia and Archery Australia for the Defence Community, serving, former serving and family members, to come and try archery.
A barbecue lunch was included, along with activities for the kids and special guests from the NRL who showcased wheelchair rugby league, and everyone was given the chance to have a go, with heaps of kids now asking for wheelchairs for Christmas.
There were over 100 participants, and everyone had a great day.
"We had a fantastic time. Thanks so much," one attendee said. Another group of children can't wait for next time.
"Thanks for an amazing day. My kids had so much fun and are excited about doing it again," the children's mother said.
Another person was extremely grateful for being able to take part in such an event.
"Thank you for such an amazing event. My boys haven't stopped talking about it and their hats are in pride of place in their rooms," the parent said.
"To Debbie Dimmock [veteran engagement specialist] we can't thank you and all the team that put today together enough.
"This was the first event we have had a chance to get to but will attend all we can. Thank you all."
