Ms Findley's vote count as of 2.30pm today [Monday December 13] stood at 21,723, compared to Mr Green with 16,142.
Percentage-wise this means that Ms Findley has 34.3 percent of the votes that have been counted and Mr Green has 25.5 percent.
The Incumbent Greens Mayor would be happy with her lead and would also be pleased that her popularity within the electorate remains strong.
It's important to note Ms Findlay has not received any backlash from the electorate, something an incumbent mayor may suffer.
Ms Findley's swing is in the positives at +2.1 percent.
Mr Green would also be pleased with how many votes he has received, given he has not been involved with local government for a few years..
The former mayor, no matter, will be sitting in the council chambers when council meets next year.
Mr Green suggested people won't see the mayoral vote winner until next week.
"The distribution of preferences to determine the elected candidate(s) for Mayor and Councillor will occur in the week commencing Monday, December 20," he said in an online post.
What we do know is that the Green's Tonia Grey and the Shoalhaven Independents Group [SIG] have been elected as Ward One councillors, the Green's Evan Christen joins the experienced Greg Watson in Ward Two, while Labor's Liza Butler will serve in Ward Three with the SIG's Pat White and Mark Kitchener.
As Mr Green said in his post - "see on the other side".
