It's a common misconception that lots of wind is makes for good sailing, the reality is that too much wind is not at all fun and nobody really wants to be out in it and that's why there have been no Sussex Inlet Basin Yacht Club sailing reports recently.

The decision was made early on to call off the race on Saturday November 13 as the forecast was for a howling westerly along with rain, not very appealing.
When the day came there was no wind at all, an epic fail on the part of the forecasters.
It did, however, rain and while we looked out the windows of the bowling club the general consensus was we would rather be there than out on the Basin.
The following week was a no race day, and this Saturday we were meant to race an inside course, but yet again the weather had other ideas.
We did learn from two weeks previously so even though the forecast was not good we waited until Saturday morning to see what it would bring, and this time the forecast was spot on, it was cold, wet and very windy - so yet another race cancelled.
We're crossing our fingers that we may be able to get out this Saturday for the next uutside course!
We are fast approaching our annual regatta which will take place on February5-6 2022.
