The event, which will run from Wednesday, November 17 to Monday, November 22, is expected to attract approximately 250 promising junior surfers to the Wollongong region - with Sandon Point and Woonona the likely locations.
"It has been a difficult year for surfing events in the latter part of 2021, so it comes as some comfort that we can still crown some junior state champions in the closing months of the year," Surfing NSW CEO Luke Madden said.
"Due to all competitors residing within NSW state borders and having no need to cross borders - as well as developing a thorough COVID safe plan - we feel the junior state titles is the perfect event to run for our up-and-coming junior talent."
Seeding for each age division is determined by the Surfing NSW state rankings, with the event to be run as a straight knock-out format.
The under 16 boys and girls divisions, featuring Jones Beach Boardriders' Lennix Smith and Ulladulla Boardriders' Jessica Ikin, will start proceedings on Wednesday, before the under 18s (featuring Werri Beach's Holly Wishart and Culburra Beach's Keira Buckpitt) start on Thursday and the under 14s kick off on Saturday - with Ulladulla's Lincoln Dell and Gerringong's Lucy Darragh being names to keep an eye on.
