The new case is in the 2541 postcode and is linked to a known case in the region.
Across the district there was one other new COVID-19 case in the Wollongong local government area, also linked to a known case.
It brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the district to 2,469 since the start of the outbreak in June.
The ISLHD said despite the low numbers, the community should be alert for even the mildest of symptoms and keep up to date with the list of venues of concern.

The ISLHD has reminded the community vaccination clinics are now offering a booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine to people aged 18 years and older, six months after their second dose.
Appointments are preferred and can be made by calling the ISLHD Booking Team on 1300 096 365 during business hours, or online via the ISLHD COVID-19 Vaccination Support form.
Booster shots are also available at local general practitioners and pharmacies.
