The pair combined for two race victories on the day, with the first coming in the 1400-metre class one handicap.
Trained by Smith and ridden by jockey Spriggs, Daralina Belle won the race by 0.4 lengths from Richard and Michael Freedman's Notions - with former Nowra-based trainer Robert and Luke Price finishing third with Alqaab.
Smith and Briggs' second victory was with Way to the Stars in the 1100-metre handicap, edging out Keith Dryden's All Formidable by 3.3 lengths for line honours.
While those results wrapped up Smith's involvement at the Archer Racecourse, Briggs also secured three more podium finishes.
The Newcastle jockey finished second in the 1200-metre benchmark 58 handicap with Geoff Hall's Hypernicus, behind Robert and Luke Price's Kimberley Rain - who won by 0.8 lengths.
Spriggs also secured two thirds, with the first coming with Jason Coyle's Confined Thoughts in the 1400-metre maiden plate.
The duo was pipped at the post by Annabel Neasham's Conegliano and Jamie Stewart's Lights on the Hill.
Briggs and Coyle backed it up in the 1100-metre maiden handicap with Bailieston, finishing behind Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott's Bundchen and Jarrod Austin's Suprina - with only 0.6 lengths separating the three horses.
The other two victors on the day were Paul Murray's El Lago, who edged John Higgins' The Towers in the 1600-metre benchmark 58 handicap, and John Thompson's Salute the Sun, who defeated Jean Dubois' Jerry in the 1100-metre class one handicap.
