Owned by local couple Adam and Sally-Anne Diver, Lolly Kingdom has been operating online since early 2021 but has now opened a physical store in Bellbrook Arcade, Ulladulla.
Both the online and shopfront features 300 different lolly varieties, delighting customers in its first week of trade.
"We had such wonderful feedback from people, particularly the older generation who grew up with lolly stores," Sally said.
"There were definitely a few adults who were like excited children."
The couple's own children, who range in age from two to 13, couldn't quite believe their luck when their parents took on the new venture.
"Our kids are growing up and we wanted to keep this fun around for them," Adam said.
"They thought we were joking when we first told them but when they realised we were serious, they were so excited."
The classics have proved to be a big hit with customers, with Strawberry and Cream and Milk Bottles hard to beat.
Popular requests from older customers have been for the traditional British lollies, while a young shopper put in the slightly unusual request for spicy marshmallows.
For Sally, it's the chocolate coated raspberries she finds it hard to go past, while Adam is partial to the giant freckles. Their oldest son is a dedicated fan of the peach rings.
Whatever your pick, there's plenty to choose from and the couple plan to keep expanding their range. While the shopfront is closed due to the NSW lockdown, the online store continues to operate for deliveries.
When normal business returns, the store will be open 10am-5pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays in Bellbrook Arcade. Purchases are made by weight.
