Barra de la Cruz will once again host the world's best surfers, including Culburra Beach's Owen, Tyler and Mikey Wright as well as Gerroa's Sally Fitzgibbons, after a 15-year absence from the CT.
Fresh off a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games, Owen Wright will start his Mexican competition in heat eight against younger brother Mikey, who is an event wildcard, and Brazil's Yago Dora.
Currently sitting in 20th on the leaderboard on 12,885 points, this event could prove decisive in Owen Wright's hopes of claiming a spot in the inaugural WSL final five - which will determine the 2021 world champion.
On the flip side, the Wright brother's sister Tyler, currently sitting in seventh on 27,095 points, will open the event against United States pair Caroline Marks and Sage Erickson in heat six.
Olympian Fitzgibbons will hit in the water in heat one, where she has been drawn against Sally Fitzgibbons Sunshine Coast's Keely Andrew and Brazil's Silvana Lima.
