This is bullying, intimidation and fake news at its worst.
Mayor Findley did not have a majority on council so any decisions that were made by the council are the responsibility of the majority of Shoalhaven Independent Councillors, hence Cr Guile is complaining about his own actions.
How dare he criticise Mayor Findley for being away from the area when he lives in Canberra!
To accuse our Mayor of causing the bushfires is a step too far.
The leaflet has secured my vote for Mayor Findley.
I trust the people of Shoalhaven will see the truth of how fortunate we have been and hopefully will continue to be to have Mayor Findley as our Mayor.
I hope the Shoalhaven Independents are soon to be a very small minority on our council.
There is no place for these antics on a civilised, respectful council.

An eye opener into history
A big tick for a back in the day article in Friday's SCR July 19 by senior journalist Damian McGill - "Lessons from Stations" of the Lavering familty and quarantine stations of yesteryear and the short/sighted federal governments of yesterday has come back to bite us in the modern era of COVID and hotel quarantine.
Well done D McGill.

An absolute disgrace, total double standards.
The privilege and elitism of the private school system is gobsmacking, taking vaccines when not eligible, finding loop holes to access Jobkeeper, unfortunately just another Liberal 'rort'.

Dr Lambert knows full well that the boys are not at Glengarry for six months. They return to Sydney for school holidays.

Cats roaming free
How does this councillor propose I keep my cat to boundaries of my property?
She freely roams to my neighbours' everyday and my neighbours have no problem with this.
My cat is microchips, registered and wears a collar.
My cat is up to date with all her vaccinations.
I refuse to keep my cat inside all day. She sleeps inside at night.
And my cat enjoys spending time outside in the backyard in the sunshine.
She isn't a problem to any other cat on my street.
She is known to my local treating vet.
My cat is not a dangerous animal.
So what this councillor is proposing as he runs for local council in September is absolutely ridiculous and I know for a fact that other cat owners in the Shoalhaven local council area would not support this councillor's idea.
He won't be winning any votes from current cat owners as his idea is ludicrous.
And cats generally speaking never wander far from home, my cat only goes to one next door neighbours' house.
She never leaves my side of the street.
My neighbour loves that my cat catches mice and rats in her garden shed, so actually my cat is very helpful to my neighbour by catching rodents in her shed.
This councillor needs to cease with his ridiculous idea because I'm sure as hell not voting for him at the upcoming council election is September this year.
Cats to roam!
