Upgrades to facilities and enhancements to community spaces are on the way for Gilmore, with $45 million from stage two of the federal and state funded Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund going to 31 local projects.

It makes up part of $283 million in commonwealth and NSW government funding for 195 bushfire recovery projects across the state.
The projects are aimed at drawing people to the region, supporting primary industries to enhance economic and social recovery, creating jobs, and improving community resilience for future emergency events.

Member for Gilmore Fiona Philips welcomed the announcement and said she had been working with local councils, local organisations, the National Bushfire Disaster Recovery Agency and Resilience NSW to make sure local projects were funded.
"I am absolutely delighted to see that such important local projects will receive funding", Mrs Phillips said.
"I know that our councils, our local organisations, staff and volunteers have worked so hard to ensure that our area gets important infrastructure, services and programs funded, so that we can all move forward with our recovery."
Senator for New South Wales Jim Molan said the projects had been put forward by the community, with funding focused on local solutions to local needs.
"These projects have been identified by the people of Gilmore and will make a big difference locally, creating opportunities to increase tourism, employment and economic recovery, as well as building community cohesion and making us more resilient in times of crisis," Senator Molan said.
Stage Two of the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund was opened for applications in October 2020. Since that time Eurobodalla Shire Council, Shoalhaven City Council and organisations have worked on applications for funding.
