Selected as part of the mid-term intake were Shoalhaven's Aimee Lamb, Darcy Kneeshaw, Fynn McMullen, Holly Nowland, Lachlan Weakley, Lucas Woof, Mackenzie Charlton, Manny Kneeshaw, Nicodemus Crichton, Rachael Heron, Alexandria Smith and Mireille Smith, with the last two transitioning across from the IAS Lonestar program.
"The volleyball program came to fruition as part of the Volleyball NSW (VNSW) partnership with the NSW Regional Academies of Sport Incorporated (RASi), as an official part of the VNSW performance pathway," said IAS' Emily Robinson.
"It has all been a pretty quick turnaround with trials on Saturday, May 29 and the first two sessions being on Saturday, June 12 and Saturday, June 19.
"The athletes have also taken part in testing and a strength and conditioning induction to learn their new gym programs."
These 12 athletes join the 38 other Shoalhaven-based athletes who were inducted in IAS' 2020-21 program in October.
